Volunteer Opportunities

The Town of Aurora’s volunteer programs provide an opportunity for volunteers to participate and to assist town employees in delivering fitness, aquatics programs, special events, camps, and various children/youth programs.

Become a Leisure Buddy!

The Town of Aurora welcomes and encourages all children with disabilities to participate in any of our recreation programs. We make every effort to ensure that each child participates at a level suitable to their abilities by supporting their needs and providing accessible facilities. Help us provide a positive experience for every participant!

What is a Leisure Buddy?

  • An enthusiastic and committed individual who is paired with a participant with disabilities within our recreation programs.
  • A volunteer interested in learning and growing while making a difference in the life of a child with a disability.
  • An individual who enjoys working with children and has some time to spare in the evenings or on weekends.
