Recreation plays an important role in children’s lives. The Town of Aurora's Department of Parks & Recreation Services is committed to providing individuals, families and communities with quality leisure, social and recreational experiences. Our programs strive to provide children with positive, healthy, active and fun opportunities.

Recreation opportunities and physical activity are essential to a child’s mental and social development as well as health and wellness and even improves team building skills and healthier relationships.

Our children’s programs are taught by enthusiastic, trained and outgoing young people from within the community, known as Program Leaders or by professional local business owners who are specialists in their field.
