On March 26, 2013, Council approved the 2013 Operating Budget with a total tax levy of $33.0M and a total expenditure plan of $51.3M, which resulted in a 2.02% residential tax bill increase when combined with the regional and education shares of the tax bill.

Capital Budget
On January 22, 2013, Council approved the 2013 Capital Budget with a total of $27.2M.
$7.48M for Repair & Replacement capital projects for existing infrastructure such as roads, water lines and storm management systems.
$19.49M for Growth & New Infrastructure for the construction of the new Joint Operations Centre, Wellington Street West entrance features, additional sidewalks and more.
$235,000 for Studies & Other Capital Projects that will include the development of a Master Cultural Plan, an Urban Forest Study and a review of Development Charges.
